Department of Law

Development of a general grounding in political, economic and social issues provides the basis for sound judgment and a flexible mindset

The law is a set of rules that are used to govern society, without which we would not be able to live in peace and safety.
The Department of Law teaches the fundamental structures of the state apparatus as well as the legal procedures and mechanisms that are used to resolve issues ranging from everyday disputes to international conflicts. New laws are constantly being created, and existing laws amended and updated, in order to reflect the changing reality of our increasingly complex and technologically advanced world.
The Department of Law equips its students with the comprehensive knowledge and intelligence required in the legal field as well as a general grounding in politics, economics and social issues as the foundation for sound judgment and a flexible mindset. In this way, our students develop a sense of autonomy that prepares them for work in a range of fields.
