授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This course is for first-year students in Law, Economics, German, and French. It runs in parallel with Academic Reading Strategies I. The main goal is to help students understand academic spoken English. Materials include lectures, presentations, meetings, and student conversations. Instruction focuses on note-taking, inference, and active discussion. In the course, students build critical thinking and academic literacy. Students also practice listening skills using TOEIC L&R TestⓇ-style questions. このコースは、法学部、経済学部、ドイツ語学科・フランス語学科の1年生を対象とし、 Academic Reading Strategies I と並行して開講されます。主な指導目標は、アカデミック英語のリスニング力の向上です。リスニング教材には講義、プレゼンテーション、会議、学生同士の会話などが含まれます。指導は、メモの取り方、推論のスキル、積極的な議論に重点を置き、批判的思考力とアカデミック・リテラシーを養成します。さらに、TOEIC L&RテストⓇ形式の問題練習も行います。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	これはコース共通の情報を伝達するコースシラバスです。 各クラスの授業担当教員がどのように授業を実施するか、必ずPorTa II上のクラスシラバスを確認してください。 授業は音声教材を使用するため、CAL教室で実施します。 課題にはスケジュール通りに取り組み、クラスメートと活発にフィードバックや意見を交換することが求められます。 教員からのフィードバックは授業内で実施します。 教員からの連絡、オンラインの資料・課題配布は、学内システムであれば「PorTaII」「manaba」 を利用します。 コース共通教材（教科書音声,・TOEIC教材）はmanaba > ALS 学生コミュニティにて各自アクセスできます。 各担当教員が授業でどのシステムを使うかは指示に従うこと。 教科書は学内書店ぶっくぎゃらりぃDUOにて購入のこと、第一回目の授業開始前の購入が望ましい。

事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	1. 授業担当教員の指示に従って課題に取り組むこと。 2. manabaのALS Student Communityに設置のあるTOEIC L&R Test教材は、繰り返しの使用を推奨します。毎週１セットは必ず取り組むこと。 3.事前・事後学習には、それぞれ30分以上は費やし、理解の促進を図ること。
