授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	□Course Objectives AE is a content-based course. Students are expected to develop an understanding of the course topic set by each instructor throughout the semester. As they develop their understanding of the course topic, students will conduct research and present their findings and opinions in speaking. □Content This English course aims to improve students’ listening, speaking, and reading skills while learning about the diversity of English, and to understand what is vital for effective international communication. Students will be required to do research on the topic they have chosen and give visually-aided presentations. At the end of this course, students: - can conduct individual research on the topic they have chosen, - can give a visually-aided presentation persuasively, - can understand the roles of English as a tool used for global communication, - and will respect the diversity of World Englishes. □Reading & Discussion ・read and evaluate texts about the diversity of English ・express one’s opinions about the course topic in a discussion constructively □Individual Projects ・conduct independent research ・present the result of a project effectively in a format designated by the instructor. Class is taught and participated in English.
