授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	The purpose of this course is to develop students’ English communication skills so that they will be able to express their thoughts and opinions clearly and confidently about a variety of current social issues. Students are also expected to discuss these social issues, agree or disagree with others’ opinions, and state reasons to support their arguments. Furthermore, students will be able to give presentations in English using PPT slides and improve their presentation skills.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	・Lessons are held face-to-face in the classroom. ・You will engage in a variety of communication activities and tasks with your classmates in pairs and groups in class and give short presentations several times throughout the course. ・You will take the final test (a discussion test and a presentation test) at the end of the course. ・The content of class assignments will be given at the beginning of the course. ・Lessons are basically conducted in English, but Japanese may be used when necessary. Students are expected to use English as much as possible in class.
