授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	Overall Objectives: 1. Students will gain knowledge about the various types and style of English used in newspapers and magazines, broadcasting and on the Internet. 2. Students will broaden their understanding of current issues reported or discussed in the media world, and be encouraged to think critically about the issues. 3. Students will deepen their understanding about the issue's political, historical, and cultural content.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	The one semester course will be conducted face to face on the campus.  Students will use newspapers, magazine articles, video clips, and internet sites.  Students will be expected to participate actively in discussions.  Students will do individual and group presentations, as well as vocabularry quizzes.   There is not textbook, so students are expected to bring the requested materials to class each week.
