授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	本授業では「翻訳」の観点から英文をとらえ、表面的な読み方になりがちな英文読解の感覚を磨きます。英文は英文のままで理解できるようになることが理想ですが、その前段階においてはいったん日本語で確実に納得するプロセスが必要です。ところが大学受験までの英語学習は和訳に重きが置かれ、生きた英語とは必ずしも一致しないことが少なくありません。この授業では、多様な英語表現に触れながら「英文和訳的な日本語」から「日本語らしい日本語」を通してテクストの本来の意味を理解し、英文を読む醍醐味を味わうことを目指します。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	授業は講義と演習を組み合わせた内容です。一緒にテクストを読みながら、授業内で演習に取り組み、問いかけにより理解度を深めつつ正しく英文を読解する力を培っていきます。 教材はプリントまたは　manaba　を利用して配布し、課題や演習にも manaba を使います。 以下の「採用する授業方法」は毎回でなく、必要に応じて取り入れるかたちで授業を行います。

評価方法 ／Evaluation	・授業参加度(（70％）と課題への取り組み（30％）を数値化した総合評価とします。 ・公欠扱い以外の理由により全体の3分の１以上を欠席すると、単位認定不可になるので注意してください。
