授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This course builds on Academic Writing I. Students will:     Consolidate their understanding of what constitutes a "good" essay     Plan and organize coherent essays     Analyze and edit their own work through peer review     Use a variety of academic sources while critically analyzing their validity and relevance     Develop their own voice within the framework of an academic writing style     Practice using citations and references consistent with APA guidelines Essay types: comparison essays, problem-solution essays, and argumentative essays. Format: Lectures in English with discussions and writing practice. Students are expected to participate actively. 本講義は、アカデミックライティングIの続きです。学生は以下を学びます：     「良い」エッセイとは何かの理解を深める     一貫したエッセイの計画と構成     ピアレビューによる自己作品の分析と編集     学術資料の妥当性と関連性を批判的に分析しながら活用     アカデミックライティングの枠組みの中で自分の声を発展させる     APAガイドラインに基づく引用と参考文献の使用 エッセイの種類：比較エッセイ、問題解決エッセイ、論証エッセイ。 形式：英語での講義、ディスカッション、ライティング練習。学生は積極的に参加することが求められます。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	This course will be held face to face in the classroom. The class will be interactive and will use the textbook, PowerPoint presentations, model essays, and other materials provided by the instructor. This semester encourages you to be more critical in your reading and writing and to use a wider range of vocabulary and sentence structures. Assignments: Weekly fluency writing tasks; three major essays (comparison, problem-solution, argumentative); final in-class essay. Weekly homework: approximately 1 hour. 本講義は対面授業で行います。授業はインタラクティブ形式で、教科書、パワーポイント、モデルエッセイ、その他の資料を使用します。本学期は、読み書きにおいてより批判的になり、より幅広い語彙と文構造を使用することを奨励します。 課題：毎週のフルーエンシーライティング、主要エッセイ3本（比較・問題解決・論証）、期末授業内エッセイ。毎週の平均学修時間：約1時間。

事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Students are expected to do approximately 30 minutes of preparation before class and 30 minutes of review and writing after class. 授業前に約30分の予習、授業後に約30分の復習とライティングが求められます。

評価方法 ／Evaluation	Grading: 40% in-class writing tasks and participation, 40% essays (research, outline, first draft 30%; final draft 10%), 20% quizzes and final in-class essay. Attendance: 5+ absences = disqualified (Ministry of Education rule). Late (within first 30 min) = "1/3 absent" (3 lates = 1 absence). AI Policy: Do not use AI for essays! Penalty up to 20 points; serious cases may result in expulsion. 成績配分：授業内ライティング・参加40%、エッセイ40%（調査・アウトライン・初稿30%、最終稿10%）、クイズ・期末授業内エッセイ20%。 出席：5回以上欠席＝単位取得不可（文科省規定）。30分以内の遅刻＝「1/3欠席」（3回で1欠席）。 AI方針：エッセイにAI使用禁止！違反は最大20点減点、重大な場合は退学処分も考えられる。
