授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
This course helps students develop both reading and writing skills, with a focus on vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension. Students will work with argumentative texts to build strong reading skills and learn how to write clear, well-structured essays on the same topics. Through active reading, discussion, and guided writing practice, students will practice thinking critically about texts and expressing their ideas clearly and logically in English.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
Students engage in a student-centered approach through guided reading and writing activities, collaborative tasks, and peer feedback. Writing is treated as a process that includes planning, drafting, revising, and editing.

The course includes two argumentative essays over the semester. For each essay, the first draft will be written by hand in class as a timed exercise and submitted. After receiving written feedback, students will revise and submit a clearly formatted, typed final draft.

Peer feedback is incorporated throughout the writing process to help students build skills and confidence in academic writing.
