授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	Overall objectives: 1. Students will continue vocabulary building. 2. Students will recognize more complex sentence structures. 3. Students will make inferences from texts to increase global comprhension. 4. Studentds will recognize organizational patterns such as compare/contrast, cause/effect and expository. 5. Students will be introduced to literary elements through narrative texts. 6. Students will recognize parenthetical citations, signaling verbs and referencing in academic texts. 7. Students will continue to build on understanding essay structural elements from RWI.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	This course will be held face to face in the classroom at Dokkyo campus.  This course will continue from the spring semester.  The second half of the textbook will be used in this class.  Students will continue studying vocabulary, participating in discussions in class, reading and writing.  In additon, they will read a short story and write a report.
