授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This class focuses on developing a range of English language skills with an emphasis on communication by applying practical communication strategies to help build on those linguistic skills learned by students in high school. Students will be given maximum opportunities to communicate, to build student confidence in interpersonal communication, and to core study skills needed to successfully carry out their four years of English study at this institution.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	This class is held face to face in one of the classrooms on the university campus.  Students can expect to do listening activities at home.  Class time will be used for group discussions, pairwork activites and student presentations.  Students are expected to communicate in English in class.
