授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
The goal in the Writing Skills for Academic Purposes II course is to continue to develop
students writing and critical thinking abilities in English, consolidating and developing the
essay writing skills they have developed in the first year and Spring semester. They
should be challenged to continue producing longer academic texts, and engage with a
wide variety of academic fields.
In short, more practice!
Overall Objectives
1. To further consolidate their understanding of what constitutes a "good essay".
2. To help students plan and organize coherent essays.
3. To help students learn to analyze and edit their work through peer review.
4. To help students use a variety of academic sources while critically analyzing
theirvalidity and relevance.
5. To help students further develop their own voice within the framework of an
academic writing style, and develop their written fluency.
6. To provide continued practice in the use of citations and references consistent
with APA guidelines

/Teaching method and Attention the course
This class is held in the classroom at the campus.  The second half of the textbook will be used in the fall semester.  Students will receive written feedback from the teacher.

Students are expected to spend 30 minutes before class to prepare for class and 30 minutes after the class ro review and do assignments.
