□Content In this course students will explore role technology plays in our society and dig deeper into a sub-topic of their choosing. Using authentic material, they will attempt to synthesize information into a short academic write-up and also give an oral presentation. □Reading & Discussion ・read and evaluate texts in social sciences and humanities ・express one’s opinions about the course topic in a discussion constructively □Writing & Presentations ・write a research paper on the course topic with appropriate citation (600-900 words + bibliography) ・make a visually aided presentation of the paper Class is taught and participated in English.  |

In this class we will… ・use Manaba (LMS) for presenting learning materials, collecting assignments, and giving feedback. ・periodically use Zoom or face-to-face formats to conduct real-time classes. ・provide opportunities of exchanging opinions among students by introducing group discussion ・aim at developing self-directed learning skills with an emphasis on research and organisation  |
