授業の目的・内容 /Course Objectives |
Students will learn how to brainstorm ideas before writing a text and how to structure an essay by introducing general and specific information to the reader in each paragraph. Students learn about academic writing and report writing and other relevant essay styles. Students will learn about plagiarism, how to include citations and how to write a bibliography as well as how to develop and edit an essay. Peer review will help students to support their classmates in their writing process. | ||||||||||

In this class, you can expect a mix of interactive lectures, guided writing sessions, and peer review workshops to help you improve your skills step by step. We will work together on brainstorming, outlining, and drafting essays, as well as analyzing sample texts to understand structure and style. You'll also get personalized feedback to strengthen your writing, and group activities will help you practice editing and revising. Creative journaling and structured assignments will balance creativity with academic focus, giving you a well-rounded approach to writing. Before each class, you will complete short preparatory tasks, such as reading sample texts, brainstorming ideas, or answering reflection questions to build a foundation for the day’s lesson. During class, you will actively participate in discussions, group activities, or writing exercises designed to apply these concepts. After class, your tasks will include revising drafts, completing assignments, or practicing specific skills covered in class. Peer feedback may also be part of your work. | ||||||||||
