授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This class focuses on developing a range of English language skills (with an emphasis on communication) by applying practical communication strategies to help build on those linguistic skills learned by students in high school. Students will be given maximum opportunities to communicate, to build student confidence in interpersonal communication, and to core study skills needed to successfully carry out English language study at this institution.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	Building on the work done in the previous semester, in this semester, we will develop your group discussion skills by working on reading, understanding, and discussing content-based material of a topical nature from various media resources. Assignment feedback will be provided in class on an ongoing basis. Students taking this class will need access to, and be familiar with, the use of Manaba. All classes will be held on campus in face to face classroom meetings.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Students should spend 30 minutes of studying vocabulary and reading from the textbook to prepare for class. Students should spend 30 minutes of review and doing assignments after the class.
