授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
In addition to developing discussion skills including mastering of useful vocabulary and expressions for a constructive discussion, the course aims to develop critical thinking including skills to identify and avoid logical fallacies. The contents covered in the course include various social issues (e.g., nuclear power, school on Saturdays, Food labelling) that would encourage students to think deeply and critically.

/Teaching method and Attention the course
The course will be conducted face-to-face.

Active participation is crucial in this course. Students are required to fully prepare for each lesson and join group discussions, using words and expressions listed in the textbook.
事前・事後学修の内容
/Before After Study
Before each class: Students are expected to read the materials, learn useful words and expressions for discussion, and complete listening activities related to the topic.

After each class: Students are expected to review the content and reflect on their discussion performance in a reflective journal.
