授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	「英語 I (W)」に示した内容と目標を継承し，さらに発展的な学習を行う．パラグラフ内の論理構成の技術をもとに，記述・意見表示・比較対象・原因-結果などの内容構成法におけるレポートやリサーチペーパー作成のための基礎練習を行う．このためにブレーンストーミングやアウトラインプロセシングなどの新しい技法を学ぶ．このほか随時正書法上の重要事項を学習する．また，アカデミックライティング学習の一環としてオンライン作文支援ツールであるCriterionを利用する．Provides opportunities to develop fundamental understanding and use of paragraph writing. Students are expected to apply principles of paragraph writing to various topics such as defining, classifying, ordering, comparing, contrasting, and stating causal relations. Activities include individualised writing derived from the student’s knowledge, interest, and experience. Orthographical skills are also taught. Students use an online essay writing assist service Criterion to confirm the procedure of academic writing. ［授業形式・方法と履修上の注意（下欄）追加］ 本授業は基本的に対面で行う．授業内容によってオンラインで実施することもある.  This course will be basically taught face-to-face.  Some classes may be conducted online (e.g., Zoom), depending on the class content. 課題に対する評価（フィードバック）は口頭・個別書面・オンライン掲示板等諸種のコミュニケーションツールを用いて行う．The teacher’s feedback on the assignment tasks will be provided through various communication tools including oral instruction, written individual notice, and online bulletin board.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	本授業では（1）オンライン(Zoom含む)および対面で行う、(2) manaba を教材提示・課題回収・評言返送に用いる、(3) グループ学習等により学生同士の意見交換の機会を設ける、(4) 教員は授業に先立ち必要な教材を提供する。 This class will be conducted both online (including use of Zoom) and face-to-face. In this class we ... (1) use manaba (LMS) for presenting learning materials, collecting assignments, and giving feedback, (3) provide opportunities of exchanging opinions among students by introducing group work and peer reviews of oral/written products, and (4) distribute learning materials in advance in combination with real-time classes. 授業の主要な使用言語は英語とする．また，作文課題は原則として電子書類で提出するものとする．受講者はポートフォリオを作成することが求められる．The class is taught/participated in English as a major means of communication.  The students are expected to type written assignments.  Students must keep a portfolio for reflective learning.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	各回とも十分な予習・復習を必要とする．また，課題は必ず期限までに提出しなければならない．Requires sufficient review and preview of each class. Assignments must be submitted before the deadline. ［授業計画詳細情報の事前・事後学修（次頁）追加］ 予習時間の目安：20〜40分．復習時間の目安：40〜20分．配分は課題の内容による．Time for preparation: 20-40 minutes; time for review: 40-20 minutes.  Time allocation depends on the target task.
