授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	使用教材は英語圏の大学レベルで用いられる教科書やショートストーリーなどのオンライン教材など、オーセンティックな教材を用いる。必要に応じて複数領域を統合した言語活動を行い、教材の内容について英語でディスカッションや発表したり、１０ページ程度の長さのエッセイを書く。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	この授業はすべて英語で行われ、CEFR B2レベル以上の英語運用能力を目標とする。また、教員免許状取得の選択必修科目のため、中学校・高校の生徒が理解できる言語インプットのレベルや理解確認の方法など、この授業で習得する技能を英語科授業にどのように生かすことができるか折に触れて考える。 This will be a practical course following mainstream EFL methods. We will use a textbook designed for students who need English in their academic studies and complete selected units. The textbook focuses on reading, writing and study skills, including vocabulary development and research. Designated exercises will be set for homework to prepare for the following week so that maximum time can be spent on discussion. Writing exercises will be collected and feedback provided by written comments and corrections. All the while, there will be continual feedback during class discussion. The textbook will be supplemented with a variety of communicative activities where the aim will be not only to complete the task but to think critically about, and discuss, the processes involved from the teacher’s point of view.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	指定された範囲を前もって読解し、内容についてのディスカッションに備える。 与えられた課題について英語でエッセイを書く。 フィードバックに基づいてエッセイを書き直す。 発表の準備をする。 Before class, read the designated part of the textbook and prepare your answers to the exercises. After class, do the writing assignment and hand in the following week (2 hours).
