授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
This class will be an on-demand course. During the semester time, a link to the video lessons will be posted
each Wednesday at 00:00 a.m. on Manaba. You should watch the class videos carefully from beginning to end each week every Wednesday during the semester time and do everything exactly as instructed. There is no
textbook for this class because there will be handouts for you to use. You should download and print out a copy of the handouts so that you can follow the video lesson while looking at a copy of the handout. There are many opportunities in this class for discussion and speaking practice, therefore, it would be a good idea to hook up with other students to practice the speaking and discussion activities. Students will receive feedback on their assignments via Dokkyo’s manaba system. In addition, some feedback will be given via the video lessons, too.
事前・事後学修の内容
/Before After Study
Students need to prepare for lessons, do homework and review lessons. Carefully go over the points covered in the handout paying particular regard to any new vocabulary (15-minutes). Go over and organise your notes on the lesson and review and prepare for any assignment mentioned in the class videos (45-minutes). Depending on
your pace, you might take more time over your work.

評価方法
/Evaluation
Teacher Points (Based on effort) = 100 x 10% = 10
Class Handouts = 100 x 15% = 15
Weekly Reading Logs = 100 x 25% = 25
Written Assignments = 100 x 25% = 25
Video Assignments = 100 x 25% = 25

Several class handouts will be studied and they will receive points rounded to a percentage. The average of
that will then be taken as 15% towards your final grade. The weekly report is based on Ted videos. You will
watch a TED video each week, summarise the main point and give your opinion. The written assignment will
receive points out of 100 x 25%. Around two written assignments will be assessed to total a percentage out of 100 and 25% of this will go to your grade and you will record two video assignments which will average out of 100points x 25%.
