授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	ドイツ語・フランス語・経済・経営・国際環境経済・法律・国際関係法・総合政策学科の2年次学生対象のクラス指定科目である。1年修了時のTOEICスコアが高かった学生が学部学科を超えて共に学ぶ。リーディングを中心にアカデミックな総合的英語運用能力を身につけることを目的とする。各自の専門分野にも活かせる学術的テーマや社会問題を扱ったテキストを用い、多読や精読を通してさまざまなリーディングストラテジーを習得する。さらに、テキストの内容を批判的に理解し、それに対する自分の考えを口頭および文章で表現する練習を行う。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	・第1回の授業は、オンラインで行う予定である（授業形態を変更する必要が生じた場合は、PorTa IIを通じて事前に連絡する）。授業に来られない学生のために授業を録音した音声、ハンドアウト、課題など授業に関するすべてをMyDOCに掲載する。 ・授業は英語で行う。 ・原則として通年で履修すること。 ・課題の提示や提出にはMyDOCを使用する。 ・課題は、教科書の練習問題やリーディングに関するライティング等である。フィードバックとして、正解がある練習問題については、授業内で答え合わせと解説を行う。正解がない課題（ライティング等）については、課題提出後一週間程度のうちに、点数と簡単なコメントをMyDOCを通じて返却する。 ・学期末に行うプレゼンテーション（リーディングに関連する）については、対面で行った場合はその場でコメントする。オンラインで行った場合は、提出後一週間程度のうちに点数をMyDOCを通じて公表する。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	授業前は教科書のリーディングの予習を行っておくこと。授業後は教科書の復習と課題を行うこと（週60分～100分程度）。

評価方法 ／Evaluation	授業参加 （課題を行い、授業に積極的に参加）　65%、TOEIC課題　15％、Presentation（教科書のリーディングに関連する）　20％ ※原則として 4 回以上欠席した学生は成績評価対象とはならない。 ・課題の提示や提出にはMyDOCを使用する。 ・課題は、教科書の練習問題やリーディングに関するライティング等である。正解がある練習問題については、授業内で答え合わせと解説を行う。正解がない課題（ライティング等）については、課題提出後一週間程度のうちに、点数と簡単なコメントをMyDOCを通じて返却する。 ・学期末に行うプレゼンテーション（リーディングに関連する）については、対面で行った場合はその場でコメントする。オンラインで行った場合は、提出後一週間程度のうちに点数をMyDOCを通じて公表する。 ・正解のある課題については、正解率によって成績を決定する。 ・正解のない課題（ライティング、プレゼンテーション等）については、課題の指示を守っているかどうか、英語の文法や語彙が正確で適切か、リーディングを理解したうえで取り組んでいるかによって成績を決定する。
