授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	本授業の目的は大きく分けて (1) 英語の授業で使用する様々なコミュニケーション活動の目的や効果について理解すること, (2) それらのコミュニケーション活動の実践を通して自身の英語力（主に発信力）を向上させることの二つです. (1)については各テーマについて論文を読み（主に英語）、ディスカッションをします. (2)については学期を通して多読およびスピードライティングを実践するとともに、前半は物語のような親しみやすい話題を題材に語りを通して明瞭な表現方法を身につけます. また、後半はニュースなどの話題について理解した情報を簡潔かつ正確に伝達し、ディスカッションやディベートを通し相手の考えを正確に理解し、自分の意見を正確に伝える方法を身につけます.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	1.お知らせ、資料配信、課題の提出等はすべてmanabaを利用します。 2.本授業は基本的に対面で行う．授業内容によってオンライン（主にリアルタイム型zoom）で実施することもあります. 初回授業については第１回目授業の2日前までにmanabaで提示しますので、必ず確認してください。 ★授業使用言語は教員・受講生共に英語ですが、日本語の論文を読むこともあります. 様々なコミュニケーション活動の実践を中心に進める.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	目安：事前学修2時間、事後学修2時間. ー授業内で行うコミュニケーション活動の下準備や練習をする ー論文を読みディスカッションにそなえる ー学期を通して多読をする (目標語数：150,000語程度）

評価方法 ／Evaluation	ストーリーテリング（20%）、テキストの簡略化 (10%)、ディスカッション（10%）、論文講読 (20%)、 ディベート（10%）、多読（ポスター発表含む）（20%）、学期の振り返り (10%) フィードバック：各活動の発表前原稿の添削・助言を筆記あるいは口頭でします. また、発表直後に口頭で講評します.
