授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
1. To help students understand the typical structure of a ‘good’ essay
2. To help students understand (genre-specific) patterns of essay organization
3. To help students plan essays
4. To help students use a variety of references and utilize Internet sources
5. To help students revise and edit their essays
6. To help students develop computer literacy skills
7. To help students become more familiar with referencing and creating a bibliography (MLA or APA styles)
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
This course will be conducted face-to-face. If circumstances connected to coronavirus worsen, exercises and learning methods may change significantly.
Each week we will look at different areas of essay writing. I will ask you to study specific sections of the book and I'll send you the answers.
Feedback will be provided either face-to-face in class or through manaba, depending on the circumstances at the time.

5 Developing argument essays Essay outlining Researching and preparing outline of argument essay. 60-120 minutes.
6 Argument essay review First draft peer review Researching and preparing first df\raft of argument essay. 60-120 minutes.
