授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	These are one-semester-long courses required for first-year students in Group A of the English department (I-spring semester, II-fall semester). The primary purpose of this course is to put into practice the knowledge students are learning in Reading Strategies I/II courses. Students are required to work with Practical English 7 and ALC NetAcademy 2 in order to build their vocabulary and improve their reading skills. Overall Objectives 1. To help them build their vocabulary 2. To help them improve their grammar/reading skills
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	この授業は資料・課題配信型遠隔授業方式で実施します。毎週、manabaの授業ページにアクセスし指示に従い自律的に学習します。ただし、第１回目の授業は対面でガイダンスを実施するので教室に集まってください。 E-learning教材であるPractical English 8およびALC NetAcademy 2を使用して、自宅で文法・リーディング・語彙を自律学習する。毎週、manabaを利用して自習した内容に関する小テストを実施する。また秋学期はTOEFLの演習問題にも取り組む。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	与えられたID・パスワードを用い、Practical English 8およびALC NetAcademy 2にアクセスし、テスト計画に従って学習を進める。毎週少なくとも２時間以上の自律学習を行う。
