授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	英語の主節に観察される現象などに関する論文をよみ、日本語の終助詞、時制と比較検討する。この科目は、外国語学研究科博士前期課程の学位授与方針（DP)ならびに教育課程の編成・実施方針（CP)が示す「実践的な言語運用能力と国際社会の多様性を理解する態度」と「語学分野において、適切な問題設定を行い、必要な先行研究の成果やデータを収集・分析できる能力」、とりわけ日英語の比較統語研究におけるこれらの能力を高めることを目的とする。 Grimshaw, J. 評価方法 ／Evaluation	評価は論文のレポーター(30%)と論文のcritical review(70%)による。
