授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	英語はいわゆる時制の一致をする言語なので、「太郎は花子が正しいと言った」の英訳はTaro said that Hanako was rightと従属節の動詞の時制を主節に合わせて過去にしなければならない。また、英語の活動動詞であるspeakなどは単純現在だと習慣的動作となり、現在行われていることを表すにはbe+ V-ingという進行相を使わねばならない。フランス語では単純現在で進行の意味となる。この授業では、自然言語に見られる時制・相の解釈のメカニズムについて英語・日本語を中心に考察する。 この科目は、外国語学研究科博士前期課程の学位授与方針（DP)ならびに教育課程の編成・実施方針（CP)が示す「実践的な言語運用能力と国際社会の多様性を理解する態度」と「語学分野において、適切な問題設定を行い、必要な先行研究の成果やデータを収集・分析できる能力」、とりわけ日英語の比較統語研究におけるこれらの能力を高めることを目的とする。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	ビデオオンデマンドで講義を行う。別途zoomによるリアルタイム質疑応答のセッションを設ける。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	テキストの指定箇所を精読し、授業内容をふまえて、具体的データを分析する。
