授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This is a one-term required class teaches students how to read more effectively and then provides students with the opportunity to share ideas and opinions in group and class discussion. This course seeks to improve student’s individual English competency and fluency. The weekly class activities will use topics of global and international importance. Topics will be introduced via pictures, listening and reading. Attention will be paid to vocabulary and comprehension. The class activities focus on listening, reading, writing and speaking. Class-work will be completed individually, in pairs and in small groups. Students will prepare a short speech based on the topic and come to class prepared to present it in their own words to a group and or the class.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	During a 2-class cycle, students will study the geography, history, and society of an important tourist destination. In the 2nd class they will then study and discuss cultural matters arising from the material in the 1st class.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Individual and group listening, reading, writing and discussion of important current topics. Course contents may change in accordance with events and students' abilities.
