授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
This one-term twice-a-week required class for first-year students develops the range of English language skills (with an emphasis on oral questioning and report writing) by applying practical communication strategies to help build on those linguistic skills learned by students in high school.

Overall Objectives
1. To give students maximum opportunities to communicate
2. To build student confidence in interpersonal communication.
3.To develop the basic study skills needed to successfully carry out their four years of English study at this institution.
Lessons will include practice understanding authentic spoken English, plus topic-based guided Pair and Group discussions and report writing.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
Classes will begin with topic-based vocabulary and warm up activities with discussion of the day's topic. Those will be followed by graded listening activities for solo students, pairs, small groups and whole class. Finally, students will have role-play activities based on their listening.

Students will be asked to listen to audio tracks before and after class.
