授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	Students continue to practice writing unified, coherent paragraphs, which are the basic units of composition common to academic, business, professional, and general-purpose writing in English. Developing fluency and well-structured paragraphs is the main focus of this course However, students in Group C should also practice writing for accuracy at the same time. Overall Objectives 1. To teach the various patterns of paragraph /short essay organization 2. To help students learn how others organize ideas through peer review 3. To help students write clear, focused, and well organized paragraphs 4. To help students analyze their problems and revise their writing 5. To help students become familiar with computer literacy
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	授業では主に日本語で解説を行いますが、質疑応答やペアワーク、グループワーク等のアウトプットは英語で行います。また、ライティングの基礎を身につけるためにはリーディングの力も必須です。アウトプットのみに気を取られないように注意して学修してください。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	事前学修として、授業範囲をPorTallで確認し、教科書の予習とライティング課題の準備をする。事後学修として、授業で理解に不安のある箇所を確認し、ライティング課題で指摘された箇所があれば読み直し修正する。（各1時間） 予習してあることを前提として授業をすすめます。各自取り組んでから授業に臨んでください。

1	Introduction Unit 4-1, 2 Process Paragraph (1)	Review of the spring semester Stimulating Ideas, Brainstorming and Outlining	春学期の授業範囲を見直しておく。Unit 4課題のアイディアを考えておく。
2	Unit 4-3, 4 Process Paragraphs (2)	Developing Your Ideas, Editing Your Writing	PorTaの掲示を確認する。テキストを読みBrainstormingしたアイディアをもとにoutlineを作成してくる。授業後outlineを見直し、必要なら修正する。
3	Unit 5 Narrative Paragraphs (1)	Stimulating Ideas	PorTaの掲示を確認する。1st traftを書いてくる。授業後1st draftをreviseする。
4	Unit 5 Narrative Paragraphs (2)	Brainstorming and Outlining	PorTaの掲示を確認する。前回のdraftをreviseし、final draftを印刷してくる。授業後、最終版をPorTaで提出する。
