授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
Students continue to practice writing unified, coherent paragraphs, which are the basic units of composition common to academic, business, professional, and general-purpose writing in English. Developing fluency and well-structured paragraphs is the main focus of this course However, students in Group C should also practice writing for accuracy at the same time.
Overall Objectives
1. To teach the various patterns of paragraph /short essay organization
2. To help students learn how others organize ideas through peer review
3. To help students write clear, focused, and well organized paragraphs
4. To help students analyze their problems and revise their writing
5. To help students become familiar with computer literacy
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
One chapter from the text will be studied each week. The first part of each class will be used for reading and analysis of the text material. This will be followed by reviewing and checking the homework assignments together. For the remainder of the class students will be given an in-class exercise to complete. Note that the teaching method, text material covered, and assessment style may change due to the demands of the ongoing health situation. Updated and more detailed information will be provided in the first class.

12 Essays for Examinations 2 We exchange the writing product and do peer work. Students will prepare for the final examination.
13 Reviewing We will review all the things learned in this semester. Students will review the final examination.
14 Final Writing We write one academic essay in class. Students will share their final examinations and evaluate each other.
