授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
Overall Objectives
1. To provide an overview of what constitutes a ‘good’ paragraph
2. To learn how to properly format a typed paragraph
3. To help students write about themselves and their experiences
4. To help students write clear, coherent and properly-structured paragraphs
5. To help students analyze and revise their writing
6. To help students become familiar with computer literacy and the use of Microsoft Word.

/Teaching method and Attention the course
※In the Spring term this course will be "ON DEMAND". You will receive assignments either on
PorTA II or Manaba. There will be no class meetings on campus.

Assignments must been turned in on time along with any questions you wish to ask me. Your paragraphs will be returned to you with comments from me in order for you to rewrite your work.

Students will be expected to keep a file of their work during the term and review it before and after each lesson.
Introduction to Paragraph Writing
The structure of a paragraph (e.g., topic sentence, and supporting sentences)
・ Planning for writing (e.g., brainstorming)
・ Writing a topic sentence of a paragraph
・ Providing support for topic sentences
・ Writing a paragraph (e.g., narrating an unforgettable event, describing a person they admire.)
・ Revising and editing
