授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	These are one-semester-long courses required for first-year students in Group A of the English department (I-spring semester, II-fall semester). The primary purpose of this course is to put into practice the knowledge students are learning in Reading Strategies I/II courses. Students are required to work with Practical English 7 and ALC NetAcademy 2 in order to build their vocabulary and improve their reading skills. Overall Objectives 1. To help them build their vocabulary 2. To help them improve their grammar/reading skills
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	この授業は資料・課題配信型遠隔授業方式で実施します。毎週、manabaの授業ページにアクセスし指示に従い自律的に学習します。 E-learning教材であるPractical English 8およびALC NetAcademy 2を使用して、自宅で文法・リーディング・語彙を自律学習する。毎週、manabaを利用して自習した内容に関する小テストを実施する。また秋学期はTOEFLの演習問題にも取り組む。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	与えられたID・パスワードを用い、Practical English 8およびALC NetAcademy 2にアクセスし、テスト計画に従って学習を進める。毎週少なくとも２時間以上の自律学習を行う。
