授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	In this course, students will learn theoretical ideas and practical techniques which they can use to make their own learning and teaching more effective and enjoyable for yourselves. 本授業は英語学科の教育課程の編成・実施の方針（CP)や学位授与方針（DP)が示す「英語の運用能力を養成し、英語圏の言語・文学・文化・社会・国際関係などを理解するための専門的知識を身につけた、国際的視野に立つ教養人を育成する」ことを念頭に置いて行われます。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	All the coursework will be conducted in English. Students are expected to read the assigned sections carefully beforehand and encouraged to actively participate in in-class activities such as group discussion and presentations. This course is recommended for students who are in the initial teacher training course（教職課程）. It is students' responsibility to download/print out/submit necessary documents on Manaba. Feedback on your work will be provided both from the instructor and peers. この授業ではManabaを利用し対面授業を基本とします。また、感染拡大などの理由により一部遠隔授業またはzoomによる授業に変更することがあります。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	reading assignments, writing summaries, doing research and preparing for presentations You're expected to spend approximately two hours on your preparation and one hour on your review for the coursework.

評価方法 ／Evaluation	Students will be assessed on quizzes (20%), reading assignments and reaction logs (40%), small-group presentations (30%), and self-evaluation (10%). なお、評価においては英語学科の学位授与方針に沿って、英語教育、応用言語学に関する専門的知識を習得しているか、それらの背景や諸課題について理解・分析しているか、自らの見解を効果的に表現する能力を身につけているかといった点を重視します。
