授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	ゲーリー・スナイダー(Gary Snyder b. 1930)の詩集『いまこの瞬間』(2015) は、現在わたしたちが直面している環境問題を含めた地球という生命体「ガイア」についての作品が収められています。スナイダーは、日本での禅の修行、エコロジー、神話、自分が暮らす場所、そしてウィルダネスへの旅をとおして得てきた経験と知識をこのテキストに織り込みました。このクラスの目的は、スナイダーの詩をとおして、ガイアで暮らすための新しいライフスタイルを考えることです。
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	授業は、学生による発表・討論のペアによるプリゼン形式で行い、学期末にレポートを提出してもらいます。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	次回取りあげる作品を読み、疑問点とコメントをまとめおく。 プリゼンターは、発表資料を２日前までに、manabaで知らせる。

評価方法 ／Evaluation	英語学科の学位授与方針に沿って、グローバル社会に関する専門的知識を習得しているか、それらの背景や諸問題を的確に理解分析しているか、そして自らの見解を論理的に表現する能力を身に付けているかを重視して評価します。 作品論のレポート７０％、プレゼンテーション２０％、授業での発言１０％。 5回以上欠席の場合は、評価の対象とはしません。
