授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This one-semester course is compulsory for first-year students. Overall Objectives 1．To increase their vocabulary 2．To review grammar 3．To develop basic reading skills & strategies 4．To understand how various texts are organized
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	Reading Strategies II (Honors) is an advanced level reading course designed to help students develop effective skills and practices for improving their reading comprehension and vocabulary. Classes will in principle be held live and in person on the Dokkyo University campus. Students will have the option to attend face-to-face or remotely, via live Zoom. Course materials (readings, homework assignments, etc.) will be made available for download via the classroom management platform Edmodo, which students will easily be able to sign in to and gain access.

評価方法 ／Evaluation	Evaluations will be based on level of participation in activities and discussions (10%) and achievement on homework assignments (56%) and a final essay exam (34%).
