授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
This one-semester course is compulsory for first-year students.
Overall Objectives
1.To increase their vocabulary
2.To review grammar
3.To develop basic reading skills & strategies
4.To understand how various texts are organized
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意
/Teaching method and Attention the course
This course is taught in English. Classes will be conducted using the textbook listed below. If not already purchased, students are required to purchase the textbook before the first class from stores such as the university bookstore DUO.

Porta II and University Web-Mail System will be used as the essential tools of communication. Students are expected to prepare an appropriate Internet environment to use these tools constantly.

Including the first class, classes will basically be conducted in a face-to-face environment. In addition, the classes could be participated through Zoom for students unable to come to the campus for various reasons such as poor health condition. In terms of the use of Zoom, further details will be provided by the instructor before the first class through Porta II.
初回を含め、本講義は基本的に対面式で行いますが、体調不良等の諸事情により対面授業に出席できない受講者向けに、ズームを使用したライブ型配信も同時に行います。ズームでの出席に関する詳細は、初回授業の前にPorta II経由でお知らせします。
