授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This one-term, twice-a-week required class helps first-year students learn how to improve their English language communication skills by introducing the organizational skills necessary to become a more competent speaker and writer. Overall Objectives 1. To help students to develop a basic knowledge of the skills required for organizing a speech and developing speech writing skills 2. To give students maximum opportunities to develop their speech delivery and speech writing skills 3. To build student confidence in speech communication in small and larger group contexts
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	Create a learner-centred, workshop environment where students have the freedom to explore, analyze and contribute to their individual progression through the course requirements Promote collaborative learning opportunities both within the classroom environment and outside of it through a variety of peer and group based assignments. This class will be delivered face to face on the university campus, with supplemental elements available online.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Independent online learning, pre and post class assignments will require 2-3 hours of commitment weekly.
