授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	The purpose of this course is to improve your oral communication skills through various group discussion, pair work and individual presentation activities. All activities will be closely linked to your textbook contents to help you gain insights into various global issues around the world. For this purpose, you’ll be given numerous opportunities to express yourself, present your ideas, tell stories and ask and answer questions during this course. Our goal is to make every class as interactive and lively as possible. By the end of this course,  students will be able to: ・Make arguments and support their opinions both orally or in writing ・Give more detailed answers to questions ・Provide greater detail when telling stories
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	Classes will be taught based on learner-centered instruction. Students are expected to take active participation in class activities. Students will be working in small groups or pairs and assigned weekly writing assignments and asked to give short weekly presentations. In addition, students will be given 4 mini quizzes and one main paper assessment to maintain their motivation and continue to expand their vocabulary.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Students will be expected to do pre- and/or post-class assignments or preparation (approx. 1 hour per week)
