授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
□Content
In this course, students will learn English through American culture. They will learn not only, the language and history, but what lies in the hearts and minds of Americans.   

□Reading
Read and evaluate texts.

□Writing
Express one’s opinions about the course topic.
Write a research paper on the course topic with appropriate citation.



As a rule, class is taught and participated in English.

/Teaching method and Attention the course
In this class we …
・use Manaba (LMS) for presenting learning materials, collecting assignments, and giving feedback.
・periodically use Zoom or Webex to conduct bi-directional real-time classes.
・provide opportunities of exchanging opinions among students by introducing group work and peer reviews of oral/written products
・aim at higher learning efficiency by utilising learning materials distributed in advance in combination with real-time classes.
事前・事後学修の内容
/Before After Study
Read assigned chapters in the textbook and other assigned readings and complete all assignments before beginning of the following class. Students are also expected to work on the research paper throughout the term.
