授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	□Content This course will consider the importance of expertise through a close reading of Tom Nichols’s The Death of Expertise. Subjects of discussion will incorporate how these issues relate to current and recent global and local issues. □Reading & Discussion ・read and evaluate texts in social sciences and humanities ・express one’s opinions about the course topic in a discussion constructively □Writing & Presentations ・write a research paper on the course topic with appropriate citation (600-900 words + bibliography) ・make a visually aided presentation of the paper Class is taught and participated in English.

事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Read textbook unites or other assigned readings and complete all assignments before beginning of the following class. Students are also expected to work on the research paper throughout the term.
