授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	– UK Culture This is an upper-intermediate content based course which seeks to: a) offer students an overview of British society, people b) improve students analytical  abilities towards foreign  culture c) broaden students’ communicative abilities via listening  practice around a variety of topics In addition to viewing  UK culture video material, students will study related written material and grammar structures. In addition, students need to make a 5 – 10 minute presentation and submit a 1,500+ word report on any topic from British culture during the term.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	Since this is primarily a listening & speaking course, each week students will answer questions with a partner after viewing a short documentary (5-10 minutes)on a topic about Britain. In addition, if time permits, students will be able to practice English conservation based on the lesson theme.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	For homework, students will be expected to prepare their individual PowerPoint presentations during the early part of the course, and then to prepare their comparative/contrast report about a topic from UK & Japan/their own country. Both presentation & report topics can be decided by the student.
