授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This one-term twice-a-week required class helps first-year students to learn how to improve their English language communication skills by introducing the organizational skills necessary to become a competent speaker and writer. Overall Objectives  1. To develop in the students a foundation in the organization skills of speech communication and writing 2. To give students maximum opportunities to develop their speech delivery and writing skills 3. To build student confidence in speech communication in a small group as well as a larger group context using multi-media.

評価方法 ／Evaluation	Students will be continuously assessed. Assessment will be based on work done in class preparing and delivering a number of short presentations, and on audience responses to those presentations.
