授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	The goal in the Writing Skills IV course is to develop students’ writing and critical thinking abilities in English, progressing from production of shorter to longer academic texts, and from writing on familiar topics to writing about more complex and academic ones. Students should be encouraged to use and integrate authentic text to reflect, react, write, and revise. Overall Objectives 1. To help students understand the typical structure of a ‘good’ essay 2. To help students understand (genre-specific) patterns of essay organization 3. To help students plan essays 4. To help students use a variety of references and utilize Internet sources 5. To help students revise and edit their essays 6. To help students develop computer literacy skills
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	7. To help students become more familiar with referencing and creating a bibliography (MLA or APA styles) The amount of the syllabus covered depends on the ability and pace of the students.
