授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	In today’s world the ability to cogently present ideas is a vital professional tool. This course aims to train students to become excellent public speakers able to present their ideas effectively to any audience with confidence and professionalism. It also aims to raise awareness of what makes a great speech or presentation. There will be plenty of opportunities for on-stage practice and critical feedback.
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	As students are introduced to concepts and skills, they practice them in class and outside of class. Guided focused practice is no doubt the main factor in developing confidence and delivering a meaningful presentation. Since this course will be taught online, students will access the online classroom via Zoom and use Google Docs, Google Slides, Flip Grid, and Loom to submit homework assignments.
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	After each class there will be an assignment to complete during the week. Students will also keep a journal.

1	Course Introduction	― students discuss their opinions about giving and watching presentations
2	Components of an effective presentation	― students learn basic components and check against their own experience
3	Posture, gestures, and eye contact	― students practice these basic physical skills
4	Voice inflection, volume, and speed	― students practice these basic vocal skills
5	Visuals and effective slide design	― students learn to critically evaluate presentation slides
6	Presentation introduction and conclusion	― students learn the language forms for introducing and concluding a basic presentation topic
7	Presentation body	―students learn to write and present a powerful message in the center of  their talk
8	2-minute presentation	― student presentations followed by evaluation and feedback
