授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This course aims to: (1) build students’ confidence in English reading and presentation skills: from reading to integrating knowledge to presenting information (2) improve students’ skills in academic reading strategies: from logical comprehension to cohesive summary (3)  build students’ confidence by contributing to group work Attendance Policy: 1.If you have four unexcused absences, you will automatically receive a grade of F. If you are more than 10 minutes late for class three times it will count as one absence. 2. Turn off your cell phones in class. 3. Report your absence in advance whenever possible. 4.NO LATE HOMEWORK IS ACCEPTED (Very Important).

事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	(1)Check the course schedule above and ask fellow students for the class material if you are absent, (2) Read the articles thoroughly and look up any unknown words, (3) Go through the content and digest the main points, (4) Reading summaries’ dates and contributors will be announced in class, (5) Use MyDOC to receive notices from me
