授業の目的・内容
/Course Objectives
This a one-semester, semi-elective course where the use of film and theatre and its analysis is central to the work undertaken in the classroom.  Further, there will be opportunities for group discussion, practical
workshops and presentations allowing the student to improve self-confidence and team work. Such a course will help sharpen the students listening, critical thinking and comprehension skills.  Depending on the students level, English sub-titles (or no sub-titles) will be used.
Overall Objectives:
1. To provide the students with an introduction to a range of film genres
2. To expose the student to a range of International accents, regional dialects, non-verbal communication
and colloquial language
3. To enhance the student’s critical thinking through discussion

/Before After Study
Read handouts  other material shown in class and complete all assignments before beginning of the
following class. After class, students are required to do all homework tasks set. Students can expect to
spend about 90 minutes per week in preparation

2 Introduction of 1st Film & commencement of viewing 1st Film (BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY) Pre-Watching, Watching & Post-Watching Tasks
3 Complete viewing & follow-up class discussion Their will be an assignment comprehension check followed up by a class discussion & presentations
4 Introduction & commencement of 2nd Film 2nd Film (ABOUT TIME) Pre-Watching, Watching & Post-Watching Tasks
5 Complete viewing & follow-up class discussion Their will be an assignment comprehension check followed up by a class discussion & presentations
6 2nd Film Script Workshop Students will explore sections of the 2nd Film’s Script from the standpoint of an actor
7 Mid-Term Assignment: A Profile of an Actor or Film The Mid-Term Assignment will be introduced & the students will have the chance to research ideas
8 Introduction & commencement of 3rd Film 3rd Film (ONCE) Pre-Watching, Watching & Post-Watching Tasks
9 Complete viewing & follow-up class discussion Their will be an assignment comprehension check followed up by a class discussion & presentations
10 4th & final Film introduction & commencement 4th Film (YESTERDAY) Pre-Watching, Watching & Post-Watching Tasks
11 Completion of 4th film & post film activities There will be an assignment comprehension check followed up by a class discussion & presentations
12 Final Presentations: information The Final Task of the Semester will be introduced & explained
13 Final Presentations Students will present their Final Task to the class & their teacher
14 Wrap up: Presentation Evaluations & submissions Students receive feedback on their Final Tasks from each other & their teacher
