授業の目的・内容 ／Course Objectives	This one-semester course is compulsory for second-year students. Overall Objectives 1. To increase academic vocabulary and to further the development of　vocabulary/vocabulary building skills in general 2. To automatize more accurate grammatical knowledge and recognize cohesive devices 3. To develop a better understanding of various styles and purposes of reading material 4. To develop effective reading skills (intensive reading, extensive reading, etc.) 5. To introduce students to authentic texts/outside readers
授業の形式・方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	インターアクティブな授業を目指す。ペア・ワークやグループ・ワークを多く用いる。 １つのユニットを２～３週間で終わらす予定。
事前・事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	課題を多く出す。事前に予習した上で授業に臨むこと。
