サミュエル・フォー
獨協大学講師 専門／英語教育
Sam has been teaching English in Japan since 2002 and currently teaches English at Rikkyo and Dokkyo universities. He holds an M.A. (theatre arts) and an M.Ed. (applied linguistics). Prior to moving to Japan to study Noh and Kyogen, he practiced protest theatre and appeared in many stage and television performances as an actor in his home country. He has also performed in Tokyo, while simultaneously teaching English.
概要
This class targets any group of English learners interested in improving their Speaking skills. The objective of this course is to help learners learn and practice the basic elements of English that are necessary to have simple real-life conversations in an interesting and fun way. Each class will evolve around a familiar topic. The focus of every class will be to build vocabulary and conversation strategies, revisit grammar use and sentence structure. In every class, learners will have many opportunities to speak with a partner, and with the teacher to practice the new language learned. Classroom atmosphere will be homey and friendly. Mistake correction will be gentle and the whole learning experience will be a fun one. By the end of the course, I hope learners will be able to sustain short conversations on a familiar topic.
