Qualifications and Application Requirements:
1.A Master’s degree or higher (an EFL-related area or applied linguistics is preferred).
2.Research and educational experience at the university level or equivalent.
3.Native speakers of English
Instructors who already have an appointment with other English programs in Dokkyo cannot apply for this position.
Classes to be taught:
“Lecture Workshop” and other English Classes on Mondays or Tuesdays
“Lecture Workshop” is a content-based course for 1st-year students in which students are expected to develop their overall English language skills while learning about specific topics. Example topics may include world Englishes, issues in Africa, gender issues, and environmental issues among others. A class usually starts with a short lecture, followed by activities in which students are actively engaged in discussing what is being taught. The Lecture Workshop program works with rotating teachers each teaching a 7 week content-based course
Appointment: Beginning on April 1, 2013

1.Curriculum vitae (photo attached and e-mail address specified).
2.List of publications and research/educational activities.
3.A 90-minute lesson plan on the following (no more than two A4 pages long): Target: 1st-year undergraduate students
Proficiency level: TOEIC 500 - 600
Language skills: integrated skills
Teaching point: to introduce one content theme in the first class of "Lecture Workshop"
4.A photocopy of the applicant’s final degree certificate/diploma.
Short-listed candidates will be asked via e-mail to send a copy of one publication (offprint or copy of the original). Interview will be given if necessary.
